Women's Cycling Event
Little Red is a women's non-competitive cycling event. Participants raise money for Huntsman Cancer Institute which helps in the fight against cancer in women. This is a very special cause to me as I lost my Mom to breast cancer when I was 15.
This has shaped everything I do. Health and wellness has become my passion and the focus of my work.
I’m grateful to be able to give back to help other women. I donate my time to design the branding and marketing materials for this event. I love working with businesses who are making a positive impact and share similar values.
Every year a new theme is chosen for the event. This year the theme was Bike the Beach.
The clients needed branding including logos, fonts and colors. They also needed jersey designs, merchandise and other marketing materials.
I put together two moodboards and reviewed them with the clients. The design was refined into a casual hand-drawn style.
The logo is playful, beachy and feminine. The colors are bright and bold. The illustrations are hand drawn and casual. The main illustration for the jersey is a hand drawn girl on a bike with her surfboard as well as several hibiscus flowers.
Brand guidelines were created to ensure a cohesive look and feel across all materials and vendors.
The brand was expanded into jersey designs, hats, shirts and other merchandise. I also created social media assets and other marketing materials for the event.
Creating with purpose gives me so much joy. I am grateful to be able to donate my time and be part of this cause.
I loved being a part of this event. I was able to ride with seven incredible friends. We had so much fun together. I am looking forward to next year!
