Zoetic Salon Collective had all the ingredients of a luxury brand. Skilled stylists, a premium clientele, and a deeply personal vision. But her existing identity no longer reflected where she was headed. As the business model evolved, so did the need for a brand that could match her ambition: polished enough for a high-end California clientele, yet bold and alive with personality.
The Inspiration
The creative direction drew deeply from an unexpected but perfect muse: Gwen Stefani and the raw, rebellious energy of No Doubt. Gwen embodies a rare duality. She is effortlessly glamorous yet unapologetically edgy, feminine but fierce, polished but never predictable. That tension became the brand's creative north star.
Just as Gwen turned heads on both the Sunset Strip and the red carpet, Zoetic needed a brand that could exist in both worlds: luxurious enough for a discerning client, with just enough edge to make her unforgettable. The playful irreverence, the bold confidence, the 'I make the rules' attitude is all baked into the identity. The result is a brand personality that is sophisticated, luxurious, and edgy.
The Name & Meaning
The name Zoetic was the anchor for everything. Defined as "pertaining to life; living; vital," it sets the tone immediately. This is not a salon that just cuts hair. It is a space where clients leave feeling more alive, more themselves, more vibrant. The name carries both sophistication and vitality, making it the perfect foundation for the brand story.
The tagline Beautiful and Thriving was built directly from this meaning. It captures the emotional transformation a Zoetic client experiences. They do not just look better; they feel it.
The Process
The engagement began with a deep-dive brand vision session, exploring the owner's goals, her ideal client, and what she wanted Zoetic to stand for long-term. From there, two distinct mood boards were developed to test and clarify the visual direction, giving the client a concrete way to respond to creative ideas before any design decisions were finalized. This collaborative approach ensured the final identity felt personal, not prescribed.
With direction confirmed, the visual identity was built to reinforce every dimension of the brand personality: sophisticated enough for the premium positioning, luxurious in its execution, and edgy enough to stand apart from the sea of safe, generic salon brands.
